Introduction
Firstly we would like to thank you for you custom here at Platinum Car Centre, We hope that you have had a satisfactory buying experience with our Sales Team and also that you have had the opportunity to discuss our warranty or extended warranty that is available to you.
Buying a car is one of the biggest financial outlays you make, so we understand the importance of choosing the right vehicle from the right dealership. To give you extra confidence in finding the right car for you, we’ve partnered with the RAC to become an RAC Approved Dealer.
What does this mean?
Being an RAC Approved Dealer means you’re dealing with a brand you can trust. The RAC wouldn’t partner with a dealership who didn’t share their attitude to supporting the customer by delivering the best possible experience. It means we comply to a code that is Chartered Trading Standards Institute (CTSI) approved, a not-for-profit organisation that ensures trading standards are being met.
If the manufacturer warranty has expired every vehicle sold comes with the following:
RAC Approved Preparation Standard
A vehicle preparation standard that all our vehicles MUST meet before they are sold. We are audited at least 6 times a year by the RAC to ensure we are consistently preparing all our vehicles to meet these standards.
RAC Warranty
RAC Warranty is included with all makes and models of vehicle and can give you the extra reassurance in the event of something happening to your vehicle. For additional peace of mind, you can extend the term of the warranty to up to 36 months for an additional fee.
12 months free RAC Breakdown cover**
Every vehicle includes free 12 months RAC Breakdown Cover, which may require activation.
RAC Accident Care - Your RAC breakdown cover includes Accident Care and Motor Legal Care (for the duration of Breakdown Cover).
Car Data Check
Evidences the vehicle you are buying isn’t stolen, written off or has any outstanding finance.
No excess to pay
With repair facilities: To make a claim against your RAC Warranty, you can return your vehicle to us or another VAT registered garage to diagnose the fault.
Or without repair facilities: To make a claim against your RAC Warranty, you can book your repair at an RAC Approved Garage by visiting www.rac.co.uk/warrantyclaim, or at any VAT registered garage.
*Eligibility for each level of warranty is based on age and mileage of vehicle at time of purchase

RAC MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR WARRANTY
RAC Maintenance and Repair Warranty is one of the leading products in the market. To suit the needs of all our customers we have 3 levels of warranty. You can also choose to extend the length of your warranty term as the older your vehicle gets; the more likely repairs are needed.
RAC WARRANTY LEVEL OPTIONS*
Platinum
RAC Platinum Maintenance & Repair Warranty includes mechanical & electrical components for failure to perform their normal function. Platinum level is available for vehicles up to 8 years with less than 80,000 miles when purchased.
Gold
RAC Gold Maintenance & Repair Warranty includes specifically listed components for failure to perform their normal function. Gold level is available for vehicles up to Any age and mileage when purchased.

*Warranty does not include items claimable under the manufacturer’s warranty. Total aggregate claims value cannot exceed the purchase price of the vehicle. Other exclusions and limitations apply, which are provided in the full terms and conditions document (available upon request) and included on the schedule document.

What warranty did my car come with?
- Any vehicle sold as spares or repairs/off road use only will need to be towed away from the premises, in line with the current VOSA Guidance also are not supplied with warranty.
- Cars under £2995 or* over 120,000* Miles will come with a 30day engine + gearbox in-house warranty*.
- Cars over £2995* will come with a 3 month / 3000 miles RAC warranty*.
I purchased an extended warranty
- We supply our original warranty with any purchased extended warranty, So if you have purchased 12months warranty please refer directly to the RAC.
Can I purchase an even longer warranty?
- There are options to extend up to 3 years with the current offer of £425 being for 15 Months of Cover (Subject to vehicle and status).
I purchased a car without seeing it (distance sale)
- All distance sales are subject to a 14 day cooling off period only.
- Any transport or delivery costs are the responsibility of the Customer.
- It is their responsibility of the customer to return the vehicle to us.

Air Con Policy - Please see the legislation explained by the sales staff at point of sale.
All Vehicles are supplied with 1 working key, any spare or extra keys can be supplied at cost, key repairs are NOT covered for any second keys nor is damage to the original key.
All vehicles under the value of £2995 will come with a 30 day Engine and Gearbox warranty only.
Warranty Plans will be disclosed at point of sale.
Any Vehicle sold as Spares or repairs/Off road use only will need to be towed away from the Premises, in Guidance with the VOSA Guidance.
It is the responsibility of the customer to return the vehicle to Platinum should any repairs need to be completed.
*Warranty system scheduled from 06/11/2025
All Distance Sales are subject to a 14 Day Period ONLY, any transport or delivery costs are the responsibility of the Customer and it is their responsibility to return the vehicle to us.
All Reservation or Holding Fees are Refundable if the vehicle is not as described, if you would like a video walk-around or extra pictures please ask us before placing a Holding/Reservation FEE. This is Valid for 7 Working Days.
If a Product is purchased & then cancelled through no fault of our own you decide to cancel there will be a £499+vat Re-stocking fee.
